THE PROPERTY
Striking décor, designed by the New York architecture firm, Clodagh Design, integrates the villa seamlessly into the local environment. With its own private entrance, the villa consists of two bedrooms, one master double complete with bathtub in the room and a second bedroom with a choice of either a double or twin beds and ensuite bathroom with shower. There is a fully equipped kitchen, including a wine fridge, dining area and stunning living room with its beautiful fireplace to keep warm on those cooler evenings.
Enjoy the many activities and facilities that this exquisite resort has to offer, from the state-of-the-art SPA with locally inspired therapies, delicious food with seasonal produce from their own kitchen gardens, to wine tastings, river cruises and trips to neighbouring vineyards where you can even enjoy the opportunity to blend your own wine. Discover the stunning natural scenery with guided tours on foot or electric bike and for those more adventurous, head to the skies with a helicopter ride across the valley. Visit during September or early October and you could have the chance to take part in the traditional “Vindimas”, the annual grape harvest where you can even tread the grapes yourself.
Brave the blue and white tile-lined flight of steps (600 of them) up to the pilgrimage church of Nossa Senhora dos Remedios and take in the unforgettable views. Wander through the Gothic cathedral, built in 1129 by D. Afonso Henriques, the 1st king of Portugal and marvel at the gilded carvings in the Desterro church.
